Abstract
|
|
|
Peritoneal dialysis has been well known technique to treat renal failure for 30 years. But the method was intermittent peritoneal dialysis and not used routinely for the chronic renal failure.
Recently Popovich introduced continuous peritoneal dialysis in 1976. It is a new and another form of maintenance dialysis technique. In this article, the principle and practice on chronic ambulatory peritoneal dialysis were reviewed and summarized.
